Chronic Patients and the Corona Virus

Evidence suggests that Corona affects the elderly and infirm the most, and that chronic disease contributes to the risk profile of these patients.

Based on early information out of China, where COVID-19 first started, it is clear that some people are at higher risk of getting very sick from this illness.¹

This includes:

Older adults¹
and people who have serious chronic medical conditions like:¹
- Heart disease,¹
- Diabetes and¹
- Lung diseases.¹

If you are at higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19 because of your age or because you have chronic health conditions, it is especially important for you to take your chronic medication to ensure good overall health, and by doing so - to reduce your risks for complications from the disease.
